Hello All,
Just joined the forum. Have a K6 1000. Am from the states but am on a multiyear contract job here in Singapore. My biggest concern when accepting this position was weather or not I can keep riding. Well, to my pleasant surprise, the biking culture here in Singapore is huge. No real riding in Singapore, but the causeway to Malaysia is just 30 minutes away. Very good riding there, especially up in the highlands regions. As an added bonus, just across the causeway another 30 minutes away is the Johor Circuit. Was built in the early 90's and hosted the 98 GP (Doohan won). Has since not been used for major events as Sepang was then built. But the bonus for all us sportbike riders in Singapore, is that the track is open just about every day for use "by the hour". $12 and hour!! During the week, you will probably be sharing with maybe a few others or the occasional monkee. Speaking of monkees, public road hazards exist just like every where else. They are just different. Instead of deer, you have to watch out for monkees and huge 3-4 foot monitor lizards crossing the road. And then there are the 1000's of 125cc motorbikes in the cities that ride like absolute maniacs, always full throttle.
Look forward to browsing the forums.
Ride safe!!
