Well Dunedin is cold place compared to Flordia, aka snow in winter, so could not really ride a sport bike all year round, but could for most of it.
Alot of bikes stuff over here is expensive compared to you over there, but in turn its not hard to ship things.
NZ is a nice country, small amount of people 4.5mil and i think 3.5 of those are in North Island, so that leaves 1mil in South Island, which is a rather large area with not many people.
The South Island is the more beatuiful part of the country, in NZ, you will find tons roads with endless corners.
There is a large NZ motorcycle forum i am a senior mod on,
www.kiwibiker.co.nz, might pay to sign up on there and ask there, with people who know the south island better than I.
