I can make it on left hand corners but when it comes to right hand turns I can never take'em deep. I can get it down for some reason, but I heard all girls have this trouble. Is that true?

Re: Taking Turns

its not that i dont know how to turn just want to improve riding skills and turns is where i see most people get over confident ant lose the bike. I know how to just want advice from people who have been riding longer than I

Re: Taking Turns

one thing i practiced when i first starte was to drop my feet, but not touch the ground, and turned as slowly as i could in a parking lot, i learned the balance point of the bike, once i got that down, i did the same thing but with my feet on the pegs. i then got to the stage of riding where i knew the bikes balance point and am now able to lean into the curve and keep both wheels down, and the sides of the bike scratch free.

this is just a suggestion, however it helped me immensely. it wasnt an over night thing i practiced this for a week or two before i was actually comfortable with taking leaning turns wiht both feet firmly planted, and knowing where my bike was in teh lean and what its going to do as i come out of the turn.

there was a tip earlier in the post about keeping steady throttle, and not chopping it. i could not strees enough how critical that tip is.

Apex ur turns, always have steady throttle, and your bike will fallow ur eyes so always look to where u need to go.

Re: Taking Turns

Ortega is not a canyon for n00bs. Toom nay cagers on that road. If you get into trouble you have nowhere to go.

In all honesty. take it slow. wouldn't go any faster than what feels comfortable. Then slowly start progressing your speed. Never try to play catch up with your friends. Ride your own pace.

Seat time and practice and you'll get faster.

Yeah, and always remember to look through the turn and immediately in front of you
