Hello everyone, I come to you in need of some help. I bought a 98GSXR 750 engine about 2 years ago out of a wrecked bike for a project I was working on. The engine ran while it was in the bike but I haven't been able to get it to run since. I've narrowed the problem down to the electrical system in the ignition and the kickstand switch. I have recently bought the kickstand switch and now I'm stuck on the electrical switch. I know the ECU is looking for particular Resistances from the ignition circuit and I don't know what these are. I have both a clymers manual, AND the official service manual and niether will say what it is supposed to be. I am really hoping that somone out there can help me. There are three wires that get jumped when the key is turned they are:
Red to orange
Grey to Brown
Green/Yellow to Black/Whilte
The reason I don't have the forward section of the harness is that it was pretty much destroyed in the wreck (I was very surprised the guy could get it to start).
Also I realize that unfortunatly most people will be very un-inclined to give out this information because it is also what can be used to steal a bike, but I really hope someone out there will help me! Please PM me if you are willing to give a hand.
Check out the blog I started when I began my project to see just how long I've been fighting with this engine and when I gave up on it:

I have recently bought a house and now have the space to try and get this engine going again hence the long hiadus as to when I last worked on the engine.
