Re: New exhaust -- FINALLY!
Finally got the bike back!!! New full exhaust kit installed, new tires and new cooling fan motor!! Exhaust is the shyt!! I never knew this bike could sound like a beast. For an old-skool, carbureted 1100, this bike is much tougher than it was when I dropped it off... Tires were dry-rotted -- I eeked out every last safe mile I could... As for the cooling fan motor, yeah, the challenges of living in a rural community revealed themselves in the form of a huge raccoon bolting across the road at 0'dark-thirty on my way to work one morning -- no vehicles in front of me, none behind. How is it that these critters time their suicide roadkill runs just right?!?!??!? I throttled thru the animal to avoid a wreck and noticed later that the radiator housing "pin" was jammed into the fan housing disallowing the fan to turn, hence burning out the motor... Ugh. Oh well, my ol' Shadow is near & dear to my heart and he deserved some $$$$'s that the other new kids were getting! Loving, loving, loving the new exhaust!!!!!!!!!!
