I'd say go to San Diego, There's Lots or riders out there, especially weekend riders that keep a bike for 3years, put 2000miles on it, then sell it. If craigslist is any indicator that area is is swimming in cheap bikes.

Re: May the chips fall where they may
Alright back again still lookin for something after a less than memorable working summer.
There is a bike here that's caught my eye a bit and wanted to ask how the price sounds to you.
Keep in mind it is at a dealership and not a private owner.
2006 Gixxer 750 with 5k miles
race railz installed, blue tire hugger and chain guard.
KBB lists the 06 750 at $6,995 (reconditioned and in excellent condition)
this one however, even with the railz and hugger I feel I could talk down considering the cover on the exhaust is missing (underfoot) and there are minor chips on the paint on the tail area.
Also it has been sitting at the shop for about 6-8 months same bike and given the fact their sales are down almost 60% this summer than last I feel I may be able to get them down.
Firsst off... Do my fellow Gixxerplanet lovers feel it's a decent price?
Second...does anyone feel or have an idea to where I may be able to get the price down to?
and third... any tips on negotiating with the dealer?
oh and fourth....haha how was/is everyone's summer?
Thanks for all the help

Re: May the chips fall where they may
sounds like a decent price and you got a pretty good pot of info to negotiate with the dealer

Re: May the chips fall where they may
I noticed your in Texas, not sure where at, but just south of San Antonio there is a dealer that I got an awesome deal on my brand new 08 gsxr600 on, spent 7,699 for it with 0 miles. Name of the place is South Texas Suzuki, not sure if they have any left but for $1k more than what you listed earlier you could have brand new and an 08.
