Everyone talks about riding fast
But how's everyone's slow speed control? Thats where the real skill comes in! How about small radius U-Turns and such? I love riding slow, it impresses the crap out of everyone when the bikes barely inching forward but both feet are still planted on the pegs.

Re: Everyone talks about riding fast
If you can do the slow stuff then the fast stuff is easy . Smooth is fast . Fast is smooth .

I usually rate a drivers skill level through slow driving.

Re: Everyone talks about riding fast
It is so funny b/c a friend and i were talking about this, but i suck at slow riding or creeping. I took the MSF course and passed. i felt like i was gonna fall over at any moment and i was really focused too. any tips on tight u turns or figure eights; those kicked my @$$ and that is were i lost most my points. I have a 2001 750 any advice would be awesome.

Re: Everyone talks about riding fast
Everyone will say practice practice practice . I say no .
Its a matter of balance and some people are " natural born bikers " .
My wife is . She started 3 years ago and the first year on her bike she could and can do figure 8's ( do one circle , stop switch the other way and do the other circle ) without putting her feet down . She was born for it . She started on zzr250 kawi , then on to a yzf600r and last summer was riding the snot out of my gixxer 1000 . But she has decided that she wants the 09 7fiddy so we will be getting one of those this spring

Re: Everyone talks about riding fast
I like being able to stop at a stop sign without putting my feet down. Still working on slow tight turns. I think its just my nerves getting to me.
