Re: drag racing?

You'll love it! And FYI the best rider I've ever seen on a street bike at the track was a women, cute lil thing cum to think of it, anyways...If you decide to get more serious in the futer def. get a lock-up clutch it will be able to handle drag racing on a regular basis and is still streetable.

I go this sunday to the strip I was just practicing last weekend. The straps are track straps, they go on the front keeping it from coming of the ground.

Re: drag racing?

they mount on the calipers and go around the triple tree, basic ratchet strap. Track only, if you ride it strapped on the street and whooly when you come down you risk shock loading the strap and braking it, rebounding up(dangerous) plus its a harsh ride.

Re: drag racing?

You strap the front end down so it's compressed and you have no front end travel that way it doesn't try and rebound and lift the front end when you launch. They're kinda dangerous to leave on as they can make steering tougher and definitely harder to steer when strapped down tight! I've tried them a few times and use to own a set. You bolt them to your brake calipers and go from one caliper over the steering stem to the other caliper.

I never knew that! thanks you 2.. Good to know. On my Yamaha R6 they came with it and I had no trouble with them but of course I took'em off after a couple of months.
